Hour 1

Introduction to VFX

Concepts:

  • What is VFX?
  • Difference between VFX & animation
  • Where kids see VFX (movies, reels, ads)

 
Activities:

  • Before-after VFX video examples
  • Spot the VFX game

Hour 2

Basics of Video & Frames 

Concepts:

  • What is a video made of?
  • Frames, clips, timeline (simple)


Activities:

  • Record a short video
  • Trim and arrange clips

Hour 3

Green Screen Magic

Concepts:

  • What is green screen?
  • Background replacement


Activities:

  • Record green screen video
  • Change background (space, city, jungle)

Hour 4

 Visual Effects Basics 

Concepts:

  • Transitions
  • Overlays
  • Speed effects


Activities:

  • Add glow, blur, or slow motion
  • Create a magic effect

Hour 5

Text, Titles & Motion Graphics

Concepts:

  • Titles in movies
  • Text animation basics


Activities:

  • Create animated title
  • Add intro & outro

Hour 6

Sound & Effects

Concepts:

  • Sound effects
  • Background music
  • Sync sound with visuals


Activities:

  • Add sound effects to a scene
  • Match sound with action

Hour 7

Storytelling with VFX

Concepts:
  • Story + visuals
  • Shot planning

Activities:
  • Plan a short VFX story
  • Scene-wise storyboard

Hour 8

Mini VFX Project

Project Ideas:

  • Teleport effect
  • Flying object
  • Superpower effect
  • Weather change scene

Hour 9

Polish & Improve

Concepts:

  • Timing & smooth transitions
  • Avoiding clutter
  • Final edits


Activities:

  • Improve project quality
  • Instructor feedback

Hour 10

VFX Showcase

Activities:

  • Screen final videos
  • Kids explain their effects
  • Parent viewing (optional)
