Session-Wise Breakdown (10 Hours)

Hour 1

 Introduction to Robotics

Concepts:

  • What is a robot?
  • Robots in daily life (India-focused examples)
  • Difference between robots & machines


Activities:

  • Identify robot parts using pictures & real kits
  • Fun quiz

Hour 2

Basic Electronics for Kids

Concepts:

  • Power, battery, current (kid-friendly explanation)
  • Components: LED, resistor, switch, motor


Hands-on:

  • Light up an LED
  • Motor ON/OFF activity

Hour 3

Understanding Controllers

Concepts:

  • What is Arduino / Microcontroller?
  • Inputs vs Outputs


Hands-on:

  • Connect LED to controller
  • Simple blink program (block-based or guided code)

Hour 4

Motors & Movement

Concepts:

  • DC motors, wheels, motion
  • Left, right, forward, backward logic


Hands-on:

  •  Motor connections
  •  Build a basic moving base

Hour 5

Sensors & Smart Robots

Concepts:

  • What are sensors?
  •  Ultrasonic, IR, Light sensor


Hands-on:

  • Obstacle detection demo
  •  Sensor-based LED/motor control

Hour 6

Introduction to Coding Logic

Concepts:

  • Sequencing
  • Loops
  • Conditions (IF–ELSE)


Hands-on:

  • Block coding or beginner Arduino logic
  • Change robot behavior using logic

Hour 7

Build Project: Obstacle Avoider Robot

Hands-on:

  • Assemble robot
  • Connect motors & sensors
  • Upload program
  • Test & debug

Hour 8

Build Project: Line Follower / Smart Light

Hands-on (choose one):

  • Line follower robot
    OR
  • Smart street light using LDR 

Hour 9

Problem Solving & Innovation

 

Activities:

  • “What if?” challenges
  • Improve speed / accuracy
  • Add buzzer / LED signals
