Hour 1

Introduction to Art & Creativity

Concepts:

  • What is art and design?
  • Famous Indian & global artists (kid-friendly)
  • Art as expression (no right or wrong)


Activities:

  • Freehand drawing: “Draw Your World”
  • Color exploration exercise

Hour 2

Lines, Shapes & Patterns

Concepts:

  • Lines (thick, thin, curved, zigzag)
  • Shapes & patterns in nature and Indian art


Activities:

  • Pattern art inspired by Madhubani / Warli
  • Shape-based artwork

Hour 3

Color Theory for Kids

Concepts:

  • Primary, secondary, warm & cool colors
  • Color mixing basics


Activities:

  • Color wheel creation
  • Mood-based coloring (happy, calm, energetic)

Hour 4

Drawing Skills & Observation

Concepts:

  • Observation vs imagination
  • Proportion and placement (simple)


Activities:

  • Still-life drawing (fruit / object)
  • Nature sketch (leaf, flower)

Hour 5

Painting Techniques

Concepts:

  • Brush control
  • Texture and strokes


Activities:

  • Watercolor / poster color painting
  • Sky, landscape, or festival theme

Hour 6

Indian Folk Art Exploration

Concepts:

  • Indian art styles: Warli, Gond, Kalamkari
  • Storytelling through art


Activities:

  • Create a folk-art inspired painting
  • Use traditional motifs and patterns

Design Thinking for Kids

Concepts:

  • What is design?
  • Problem → Idea → Sketch → Improve


Activities:

  • Design a poster (Save Water / Clean City / Festival)
  • Basic layout and lettering

Creative Craft & Mixed Media

Concepts:

  • Using different materials
  • Texture and layering
